Proplanner Launch Version 1.7 of Workplace Planner

Proplanner Inc launch the latest release of their Workplace Planner software.

Dr. Dave Sly, CEO of Proplanner, said. “The features in this release were requested by our customers and focus on providing maximum information with minimal effort.” Dr. Sly also stated, “During testing, we were able to download the processes for an entire automotive assembly line and then model and animate the work content for an entire production sequence in the AutoCAD layout in less than 10 minutes. There is no other product on the market that can come close to matching the performance and ease of use of this application in the design of workplaces and assembly lines.”

Some of the new enhancements for 1.7:

• Ability to handle Mixed Model Line Balancing scenario’s automatically generating a mixed model process sequence routing for multiple parts, operators and stations simultaneously.
• Ability to independently specify workstation position information along the assembly line and then assign operators to stations where each operator can encroach on the prior or subsequent workstation by a user-defined amount.
• Expanded charting and reporting in XML and XSLT formats for Lean Work content, work classification, and cycle times for individual sequences, or an entire shift.
• Expanded support of the MODAPTS and MTM time standard formats whereby the program will automatically create and update work standard codes for operator walking tasks.
• Expanded support for user-defined time standard tables, including formula-based methods for determining operator walk time (as opposed to a fixed walk speed).
• Expanded user control on how the operator walk path flow diagrams are generated, color coded and scaled.
